Kicking It Old School

Today's my baby cousin's birthday...she's not so little anymore, 12 years old. I know this is cliche but wow time really passes by fast. I can remember the day she was born so clearly and now 12 years have already passed. Happy Birthday baby girl xox!

She had her birthday party today and my aunt bought a bunch of wigs at the dollar store. Let's just say us older people had more fun with the wigs than the kids did! Was a nice time; short and sweet. Which in a way was good because I have tons of homework to finish up.

I should have been born with afro hair!!! hahah

Photo of the day: mmm frutti di bosco by far one of my favourite cakes!

New York Times

New York Times best sellers list or not Nicholas Sparks is a genius. His books are simply amazing. His writing just moves you to tears. My last read from him is the Lucky One. I'm annoyed by the fact that my time is so limited now that school's started that I cannot read the book as fast as I would have liked to. Either way from what I've read so far it's good! I also have Dear John to read. You might be wondering why that sounds familiar. It's because it has now been turned into a movie as are most of his novels. Anyway I have yet to read the book and the movie is coming out soon. I have a feeling that I will be reading the book after the movie.
Anyway as you might have guessed, photo of the day today is my book..placed nicely on my laptop (Which by the way is fairly new...but that's another story and another blog)!

Winter Wonderland

Today was insane...weather wise. It kept snowing sporadically and the snow was coming down like no tomorrow. It was pretty :)
Anyway, after school today on the way home the bus randomly stopped. So we all had to get off. At least it was one stop before mine so i just walked though the park. It was nice minus the wind almost blowing me away. Since the park is on a hill walking down the hill was semi difficult since it was icy under all the snow...almost fell twice with camera in hand. Thank God that didn't happen though.
So before going inside I decided to quickly take a picture of the sky and park. So pretty with the sky mixing pink with the blue. I love when the sun sets. There's something so beautiful about the colors painted across the sky in that way.

Don't Let Me Down

Leona Lewis' songs always speak such truth. I don't think she writes her own lyrics (don't quote me on that) which is kind of disappointing. I've been listening to her somewhat new album for a while now.
Everyone seems to think that she swears in the song "don't let me down". She's not swearing though it really does sound like it. She's actually saying fork in the road, but i guess with her accent it sounds like f***king around.
Anyway it's a good song lyrically and musically. Have a listen:

2010 bbies

Wow so I haven't blogged in quite a while, now there's an understatement. It's actually been so long that I forgot my password. It's sad to think that I can't seem to finish anything I start. Bad habit, true fact. At least I manage to finish my schoolwork eventually. So 2010, new year, new beginnings. This blog is long overdue.
I've never really made new year resolutions simply because I can never keep any. Why bother setting myself up for failure? I suppose that's it. But this year I'm hoping to stay positive and perhaps change my outlook on life.
I'm already in my second year of McGill and scary thing is that I have no clue what I want to do with my life. I always put off thinking about it, just get my diploma and finally be done with school. But do I really see myself teaching? I can't say that I do, but who knows maybe I'll really enjoy it. Cliche or not, one thing's for certain, I want to make an impact in someone's life. I want to be able to help people and to really affect them in a positive way. I feel that if I can find a job that accomplishes this on a daily basis then I will be content.
I've thought about switching into counselling and then there are those days were I think I need a counsellor just from all this confusing.
I know I'm just rambling right now but it's just been on my mind lately. God know's I'm trying to figure this out. Maybe I just need more time... time as usual is my worst enemy.
But on a more positive note, I've decided to attempt blogging again and this year hopefully sticking to it. I will try and continue taking a new photo everyday as well. I miss doing that and carrying around my camera where ever I go. I guess you can say this is a blog consisting of my new year's resolutions, but I prefer not to call it that :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
